Orwellian DoubleThink: Rights are Privileges

Big Brother

Rights are Privileges (Freedom is Slavery): The primary duty of all public officials is to protect the rights of citizens as defined in the Constitution, where they shall not make or enforce any laws that violate those rights.  In fact, the “checks and balances” were put in place to assure that rights of citizens are not being trampled by one branch of the government. After 9-11, President Bush and other public officials proclaimed that their most important job was protecting the safety of the American people, which basically put an end to our rights coming first.

The Government's New Right to Track Your Every Move With GPS

Big Brother

Government agents can sneak onto your property in the middle of the night, put a GPS device on the bottom of your car and keep track of everywhere you go. This doesn't violate your Fourth Amendment rights, because you do not have any reasonable expectation of privacy in your own driveway - and no reasonable expectation that the government isn't tracking your movements.

Iris Scanners Create the Most Secure City in the World. Welcome, Big Brother

Big Brother

We've all seen and obsessively referenced Minority Report, Steven Spielberg's adaptation of Philip K. Dick's dystopian future, where the public is tracked everywhere they go, from shopping malls to work to mass transit to the privacy of their own homes. The technology is here. I've seen it myself. It's seen me, too, and scanned my irises.

Big Brother

Google’s cosy relationship with the U.S. spy network has once again been thrust into the spotlight as the company is reported to have jointly invested with the CIA in an Internet monitoring project that scours Twitter accounts, blogs and websites for all sorts of information, and can also “predict the future”.

Google Ventures, the investment arm of Google, has injected a sum of up to $10 million, as has In-Q-Tel – which handles investments for the CIA and the wider intelligence network – into a company called Recorded Future.

U.S. military turns to TV for surveillance technology

Big Brother

Reporting from Washington — As it rapidly expands its drone program over Afghanistan, the U.S. military is turning to the technology that powers NFL broadcasts, ESPN and TV news to catalog a flood of information coming from the cameras of its fleet of unmanned aircraft.

U.S. military archives hold 24 million minutes of video collected by Predators and other remotely piloted aircraft that have become an essential tool for commanders. But the library is largely useless because analysts often have no way of knowing exactly what they have, or any way to search for information that is particularly valuable.

BIMA – New Gov. Agency More Powerful than the IRS, FBI or CIA

Big Brother

On March 23rd of 2010 the United States Secretary of the Army signed an order that created a new government agency that will be more powerful and have a greater impact on each and every human being on this planet than the IRS, FBI, CIA and NSA combined. The Agency is called BIMA which stands for The Biometrics Identity Management Agency. As a task force it had limited capabilities and limited funding. So what is the significance of the name change? According to BIMA’s FAQ’s :

10 Ways We Are Being Tracked, Traced, and Databased

Big Brother

Are technological advances infringing on our right to privacy?

The war on terror is a worldwide endeavor that has spurred massive investment into the global surveillance industry – which now seems to be becoming a war on “liberty and privacy.”  Given all of the new monitoring technology being implemented, the uproar over warrantless wiretaps now seems moot.  High-tech, first-world countries  are being tracked, traced, and databased, literally around every corner.  Governments, aided by private companies, are gathering a mountain of information on average citizens who so far seem willing to trade liberty for supposed security.  Here are just some of the ways the matrix of data is being collected:

Biometric entry planned for California skate park!

Things are definitely getting out of hand when you start reading articles like this – the City of Poway in California is going to introduce biometric scans of skaters thumbs to allow or disallow entry into the skate park. One thing is making sure vandalism, bullying and disregard of certain rules don’t take place, but making a skate park look like you are trying to travel overseas and you are getting on a plane? What do you think about it – leave a comment, I want to know!

Mark Of The Beast Rears Its Head In Pennsylvania 090710top

Since the scum public can’t be trusted to control themselves after drinking a glass of wine, the state government of Pennsylvania has begun trials for a system that could eventually be rolled out in grocery stores across the region, where consumers are forced to scan their ID, perform a breathalyzer test, and stare into a surveillance camera before a government employee approves their purchase.

TSA To Block Websites With Controversial Opinions 050710top

The Transportation Security Administration will block all websites that contain “controversial opinion” from its federal computers in the latest example of how Internet censorship is expanding in both the private and public sector as the federal government prepares to push through a power grab that will empower President Obama to shut down the world wide web with an emergency decree.
